More library fun

We are taking full advantage of our library this summer. I know I've said it over and over but the girls are totally digging it. Up until this year we have done the summer reading program and nothing else. This year we have at least two free activities every week!

We've done scavenger hunts, 

Made personalized book marks, 

 

Became Jedi's, 

Painted,  

And had a complete blast!

We have been taking full advantage of the fact that our local library offers many fun, free and child friendly activities throughout the summer. The only hang up is that in order to get your kids into the classes you have to sign up at a specific time or you won't get a spot. So for this I owe a debt of gratitude to my alarm app. :D

Anyway, in addition to the summer reading program, story time each week and scavenger hunts they do some evening events. This week they put on a Jedi Academy. It was a VERY funny "Jedi" who used jokes, magic and slight of hand to treat our little padwans (sp?) to become full fledge Jedis'.

Grace invited her best friend to come so Brian, Jack and I escorted the 3 wookies to their training. 

The Jedi running the training was hysterical. Had the kids completely in stitches and a few chuckles even came from the parents in the back.
