The Nursery
Stage II of the Nursery Project
This weekend my Mom and Dad were kind enough to help Brian and I get the nursery going. We got the cribs put up and my office switched over to share with Brian. Here is the progress:
There is obviously a lot more work to be done, but at least it is a start.
Cribs
We were lucky enough to get one crib from my parents that was almost new and in great condition. So we knew that instead of having to buy two we only have to get one. We have been waiting to buy one til we had the money so I was hoping in the next week or so to get one. I had this nice (fairly cheap) one picked out at Target, since we saved some gift cards there from Christmas. I have had it bookmarked for weeks now. A couple of days ago I called up the bookmark to take a look at it and they don't carry it any more. :>( It was a perfect match to the crib we already had.
I decided to try to find another look-a-like but couldn't really find one. I found one that I liked but realized that if you order it online the shipping is like $60. WTH? So we decided to get the natural wood crib that they carry in Target stores. I don't love it, but it will do. I just really wanted them to match. At the same time with needing so much, would it really make sense to spend a ton on a crib that we will only use for like a year. Since we are going to co-sleep the girls for as long as possible, this will be our back up crib for now.
I guess once the bedding is in, a crib is just a crib.
Nursery Project
Genna and I spent some time this weekend working on a craft project for the girls room. I am not a seamstress, but I do love to craft and paint. So we painted these over the weekend to display in the nursery. 
The Nursery - Before
Here are a couple of pics of what the nursery looks like now. We have put the drawers together, but not a whole lot else. I am hoping to have some "after" pics really soon. We have so much to get done that we are hoping to get started soon.
