Things I'll Miss

One of the common discussions that are had in infertility buddy groups and on forums is all the things we will miss once we are pregnant. We all know that we would trade these plus our left arm for a child but it seems to help some days. I thought I might come up with a list all my own. So here are a few things that I will miss once I am pregnant and have a child:

1. CAFFEINE
2. ALCOHOL
3. Sleeping in on Sunday mornings
4. Having time to spend just me and my hubby
5. My house being clean and tidy
6. The money that comes with my job
7. Avoiding grocery shopping until the point that there is nothing but beer and pickles in the fridge
8. Staying out til 2 am
9. Having time to blog
10. Watching all the TV that I want and none of it being SpongeBob

I'd still trade it all and then plenty more.

You don't have to give up caffeine, totally. :) My doc said 1 cup of coffee a day is okay. Thank goodness!

Thank God for that!!!!!!!!

Things to look forward to:

1. I second the caffeine need! Though when I was pregnant I didn't really feel much like having any...
2. I did crave alcohol (and I didn't even drink that much!) - but odd things like a cosmopolitain.
3. Sleeping in doesn't have to go away, but uninterrupted sleep does!
4. Time w/hubby. Initially, it might feel like you've got more time together, if you're both home right after s/he's born.
5. Clean house... what's that? I admit, ours is dirty, but that's because I choose to spend my free time online!
6. Yeah, well, I wish I had an answer for the money.
7. I still avoid grocery shopping till I absolutely have to go - breast milk doesn't come from the store!
8. You just can't stay out till 2 am together (at least not as often!)
9. I'm still blogging, aren't I???
10. Who has time to watch TV??? Well, I do in the morning, and when we're feeding.

There are many, many silver linings ;) I really hope you'll get a chance to realize your dream soon.

About this blog

Over 8 years we have struggled through 3 IUI's, 6 rounds of IVF, several RE's, hundreds of appointments and the loss of three little angels. Now we find ourselves the proud parents of two perfect little girls and a wonderful little boy!!

Both of our girls struggle with some disabilities but that won't keep us down. Each day has it's own brand of insanity but we love it. Most days I am more monkey wrangler than mother but I do the best I can. Todays goal - getting to tomorrow.
