In Today's Report...

Another morning brought another trip to the RE. I had another round of bloods and ultrasound. As I drove home I couldn't help but think how it seems as if I am simultaneously sprinting towards the finish line as well as walking in slow motion. When I look back on the past few months I am astonished at how rapidly all of the time has passed. When I am in the moment driving to and from by daily doctors appointments I feel as if I am crawling along. I know that the end is drawing close, but I wish it would hurry up and get here already.

For the first time in months if now a year, I have allowed myself to have thoughts of seeing our baby (or babies) on the ultrasound, of buying maternity cloths, of bringing them home from the hospital. The best defense mechanism I have come up with over the past 2+ years is to simply not think about motherhood. When you think about it the pain finds its way in. Now that I am letting those thoughts in I am either setting myself up for the biggest fall of all time or the most unbelievable moment of my life. Only time will tell.

About this blog

Over 8 years we have struggled through 3 IUI's, 6 rounds of IVF, several RE's, hundreds of appointments and the loss of three little angels. Now we find ourselves the proud parents of two perfect little girls and a wonderful little boy!!

Both of our girls struggle with some disabilities but that won't keep us down. Each day has it's own brand of insanity but we love it. Most days I am more monkey wrangler than mother but I do the best I can. Todays goal - getting to tomorrow.
