I have been going back and forth about whether to rent a Doppler for the next couple of months. I loved the idea of getting to hear the little one's whenever I wanted. At the same time I was afraid of not being able to find a heartbeat and panicking. Well, as it turns out, my sister (who is an OB Physicians Assistant) borrowed one from work and brought it home. She did a whole exam and we found the babies heartbeats. They were both in the 150's or 160's and she said they sounded great. It was so exciting to get to hear them and know that everything is going ok. She is able to hang on the Doppler for a while and bring it home periodically so we don't have to pay for one.
It was such an amazing experience to get to hear them!

I never had any problem finding the HB w/ the doppler, but I waited to get it until AFTER I had already heard it at the doctor's office. I think that your chances of not finding it after that are very slim. Many women freak out b/c they start trying too early. But w/ 2 of them in there, your chances of finding them are greater, I think.
Totally your choice, but know that I'm behind you 100%! For me it was a lifesaver.
I knew you'd get one!! Enjoy hearing the bubs. You need to come up with a nickname for them.
