Because I have had insomnia since I was a teenager I have always had to deal with getting through my day pretty tired. A good nights sleep for me used to be between 5 and 6 hours. Some nights I would only get a couple hours. Since I have been pregnant I have been sleeping much better than usual, more like 8 hours a night... sometimes even more. This is an anomoly for me. The strangest part for me is that even if I get 10 hours of sleep, by about 3 o'clock in the afternoon I am exhausted. Like can't keep my eyes open tired.
I knew carrying twins was going to be tiring, but I had no idea what I was in store for. I knwo a lot of readers who have their babies think "well just wait til they are born" and "get all the sleep now while you can', that much I know will be true. I know, I know... this is preparation and all that jazz, but man am I tired.

I've been feeling the same way. It doesn't seem to matter how much sleep I get - I'm exhausted by the end of the day.
I was exhausted my entire first trimester. My second trimester I felt totally energized... like the pregnancy hormones were a sort of energy drink. :) In my third trimester I was totally worn out until my nesting phase... my house has never been so clean and organized! :) Don't worry, you'll feel better soon!
With my son I was soo tired all thru the 1st tri. Like prop my eyelids open with toothpicks sort of tired. This time it's been no where nearly as tired, but the low level fatigue is still here, oh well. At least I'm still sleeping fairly well so far.
Your body is doing amazing things to make certain these babies grow and thrive...Unfortunately, that wipes out Mom :( I know it can be frustrating but relish in knowing what your body is doing for these little munchkins! That was the only thing that really helped me through it.
