Stretch Marks

Ok, so I knew that I would probably get some stretch marks during pregnancy, but this is getting ridiculous. I started with some on my sides and a few on my belly. Now they have made their way across both of my sides (almost to my back), across my lower tummy and are now creeping up higher and higher. I like to refer to them as my tiger stripes because it sounds nicer but I really am starting to look a little tigeresque. I put on lotion and oils and creams and nothing seems to help. Oh well, I guess I will have to wear them with pride for the rest of my life. Lucky for me my hubby thinks they are oddly pretty. I guess it is just a reminder of the gift we are being given.

On another note I have managed to catch a nasty cold. I have no idea from whom since no one in the family is sick. I guess with my body working so hard right now I am just more susceptible. So now I am fairly grumpy from the discomforts of measuring between 44 and 45 weeks pregnant AND having a cold. At night it feels as if my entire body is aching. What a fun time this is. ;>)

I really hope you feel better soon! As if it wasn't hard enough right? Keep those feet up, and the hot tea & Chicken Soup coming! Be Well...

I'm sorry about the stretch marks...if it makes you feel any better, I had a ton too, but I only had one baby! You look like you're doing pretty good for having two!

BTW, my husband thought mine looked like flame tattoos on me....I look at them as something that'll remind me about what I had to go through to have a beautiful baby. They're my "war wounds"!

Hope you get feeling better soon.

ME TOO! I am 16 weeks and have a nasty head cold. Sitting here thinking about the Theraflu I can't take...
I feel your pain about the stretch marks, but I promise they do fade a good deal after a bit of time. After the girls come, you won't have time to even think about those marks. Heck, I had to schedule a trip to the bathroom one day!
Feel better soon,

I cannot believe that you're measuring at 45 weeks...I kiss the ground you walk on...

About this blog

Over 8 years we have struggled through 3 IUI's, 6 rounds of IVF, several RE's, hundreds of appointments and the loss of three little angels. Now we find ourselves the proud parents of two perfect little girls and a wonderful little boy!!

Both of our girls struggle with some disabilities but that won't keep us down. Each day has it's own brand of insanity but we love it. Most days I am more monkey wrangler than mother but I do the best I can. Todays goal - getting to tomorrow.
