There is a lot to consider when buying a stroller for your twins. The first issue for me was whether it was sane to have more than one. For me the answer was YES!! I LOVE my double snap and go and could not live without it. It lives in the trunk and we use it for shopping. In the house we have a combi side-by-side which pushed like a dream. It is slim so it fits through standard doorways. There are some drawbacks to it (bad storage and no good cup holders). So this got me thinking of the questions one should consider when buying a stroller.
1. Price - what are you willing to spend. If you have $600 spring for the Baby Jogger City Series Double Swivel Wheel Stroller. It is awesome but pricey.
2. Storage - How much space do you need under your stroller. If you are like me you would need a big basket to store the baby bag and your purse. My basket is not nearly big enough.
3. Side-by-side or Stacked - The question here is whether you want your twins next to each other ( I went this way) or one in front and one in back. Remember that if one is in front it makes it a little tougher to load the baby that will be in the back. The problem with the side-by-sides is they are harder to get through doorways and down aisles.
4. Cup holders - It sounds stupid but you would be surprised how much you need a cup holder or tray on a stroller. You will end up with your keys, cell phone, drink and pacie all sitting there. If you don't have it you're in trouble.
5. Height of handle - If you are tall you will have to bend over.
6. Wheel clearance - Walk around the store pushing the stroller. Do your feet hit the wheels.
7. Straps - Five-point harnesses are nice but some are huge and bulky. This will not make baby feel comfy.
8. Is it convertible - A lot of strollers can be used with the car seat and without. A major plus!
9. Washable - Make sure it is a fabric that can easily be cleaned.
10. Looks - And it has to be cute! :>)
