We (Gracie, Abby & I) went for Abby's labs this morning. I was dreading this trip because I had to go myself and I was afraid that Abby might freak out during the blood work. The blood work wasn't too bad, not nearly as bad as I expected. She only cried a little. The lady who drew her blood was very nice and very quick. The poor thing had to hold still through 9 VIALS!!!
The urine test was more of a pain because I had to do it myself. They gave me this bag thing with sticky tabs to stick around her girly parts. The bag collects the urine without having to catheterize or anything. We waited for her to pee in a general waiting area. It was a little weird that they didn't give me a room or anything to put the bag on. I had to do it in front of a ton of people. . After 45 minutes I realized the little bit of diaper cream from the morning killed the seal. Her diaper was wet but nothing was in the bag. After another bag and another 45 min of waiting they thought they had enough to run the test. Hopefully!!! We call on Monday to get the results.
