As an avid sale shopper I spend my Saturday morning each week thumbing through all of the local circulars for good sales. While reading the target circular (my favorite... I honestly get excited when I see it each week) I noticed something. The sales this week were all aimed at Easter TOYS. When I was a girl the Easter Bunny brought a small basket filled with candy, sometimes a little bit of money and if I was really lucky a small toy or two. It seems to me that the evil conglomerates of the world have conspired to turn Easter into another holiday centered entirely around what you GET. What in the hell ever happened to enjoying a holiday for its own purpose. Why do we have to buy bigger and better things for our kids every year.
I just what to know why candy just isn't good enough anymore???
