American Idol Concert

So we survived the "big" American Idol concert. Like I posted the other day this was my niece's 13th birthday present/party. She brought her two best friends as well as my nephew Jordan, my Mom and I. The seats were floor seats and very good. I could have beaned the idols in the head we were so close. Some of the performances were good... others not so much. I enjoyed both David's, Syesha (sp??) and the Aussie (who is super cute). The tiny girl (can't remember her name) was just awful. It was so nice to get to watch Genna and Jordan enjoy something they are so into. Genna has been in love with David Cook for the entire season and watching her face when he came out was worth suffering through the bad performers.

Not only did we make it through the entire concert but we had heard that afterwards the idols sign autographs. I was not in favor since it was already 10:30 by this point and I had been up since 7. The girls conned us into it and we joined the other thousand people waiting. I figured there was no way they would be any autographs. In the end the girls and Jordan got autographs from Brooke, The Aussie, The Stoner, Blond Girl, Small Asian Looking Girl, Syesha and David A.

Oh, and this was super cute. Jordan (my 6-year old nephew) was calling out to all the idols. Brooke was cute and waved at him. When Syesha came he was yelling "Syesha, I love you." She looked right at him and said "Oh, I love you too, you're so cute." It was freaking adorable. He blushed more than I have ever seen him blush and was at a loss for words (which almost NEVER happens with Jordan).

I have to say that even though I was dreading it, it was a fairly fun night. And for the record David Cook is not nearly as bubble gummy pop music as I thought. His jam or Billy Jean was not too shabby... and I have been to many a rock concert.

Here are some of the autographs Jordan got:

About this blog

Over 8 years we have struggled through 3 IUI's, 6 rounds of IVF, several RE's, hundreds of appointments and the loss of three little angels. Now we find ourselves the proud parents of two perfect little girls and a wonderful little boy!!

Both of our girls struggle with some disabilities but that won't keep us down. Each day has it's own brand of insanity but we love it. Most days I am more monkey wrangler than mother but I do the best I can. Todays goal - getting to tomorrow.
