I'll try to keep this whiney post as short as possible. The appliances were supposed to be delivered today between 11 and 3. I started my morning when, at 6am (wtf?) the delivery department called to say the range (which took two weeks to get in b/c it was special order) was dented. We decided to take it since we got 10% off and the dents are on the side.
They had to bring the range separate (not sure why) which ate up more of my day. When they went to install it they discovered that the old one was hard wired and a box and outlet needed to be installed. So, no dice. Then they tried to put the fridge in. We discovered the water lines needed replacing AND the fridge was a teensy bit too big for the spot. No dice again. The dishwasher they didn't install (my Dad is handling that to save us the $180 Lowe's wanted to install it). So, out of five appliances I have only one working. (I might not have mentioned when the house was built the dryer vent was crap so my Dad-in-law is fixing that problem.)
Tonight Brian tried to replace the water lines, which was a disaster. The pieces they said would be right weren't. Tomorrow I am getting all the (hopefully) right parts. He is also taking down the floor molding and shaving the lip in the countertop to (again, hopefully) fit the fridge.
All in all I am frustrated beyond belief!
On a more positive note, how bout those Phils! Unbelievable!
