It's time for a hobby

As a Mom of two small kids I see hobbies as a bit of a luxury. Not something I necessarily have time for but something I wish I did. For me hobbies come in the form of cooking, couponing and being crazy good at sale shopping but these are not the kind of hobby I am talking about. It recently has been brought to my attention that is t-minus 6 months my children will be in 5 day a week preschool. Ding, ding, ding... might be time to get a hobby.

I sat and I thought and in a short period of time it came to me. I want to take pictures. Not just the crappy pictures I take on my point-and-shoot but I want to learn how to make them beautiful. To understand lighting and composition and know the true power of photoshop. I want to create memories for my family through my camera. So when we get our tax money back I have decided (and Brian kindly said he was on board) to invest in an SLR camera. I am not 100% sure which one but I have been doing A LOT of research and have the field narrowed to a few.

I am really looking forward to doing something new. To learning a new skill. To a little fun. I can't wait!
