Random Updates

I am tired (Abby hasn't slept well for the past few weeks) and jumbled so I thought I would randomly post a bunch of updates all at once. :D

My sister - She is at her apartment with the baby. Her boyfriend is "limiting her interaction" with our family so I haven't seen the baby since meeting her. My parents went yesterday so my Dad could meet her. The baby hasn't been bathed and hasn't been swaddled (my sister claims she doesn't know how). My parents said my sister looked like she is floundering. It wasn't easy for them to go and leave her there with Hope but they have no choice.

The big kids - Katy having the baby has been a tough thing for the big kid. They were all devastated when she gave the baby a different last name. It was almost like the nail in the coffin of the feelings of this is our sister but not our sister. (All the 3 big kids have the same last name.) They had a rough couple of days but the good thing is since she went home and they aren't seeing her they are getting on with their normal routine.

Abby's braces - She is rocking in her braces. All the naysayers (and there were many who thought us nuts to spend almost $700 on them) were dead wrong. She is falling less. Her stamina is slightly better (she can be mobile for more like 30 minutes versus her old 20 minutes). She just looks more confident on her own feet. Money well spent!

And me - Again, tired and jumbled. As always. :D
