Truly is a penny earned. I have embraced this principle over the past couple of years with my whole heart. Couponing has gone from a noun to a verb for me. I have saved thousands and thousands of dollars with coupons, sales, price shopping and bargain hunting. For me it is almost like a game of sorts. It has it's drawbacks... it is a little time consuming, people don't love standing behind you in line when you have 50 coupons, you do have to be very savvy about prices and know how and where to shop. That being said part of what I embrace is the hunt. Knowing that I save my family what comes down to un-taxable income is wonderful. I work from home but this is like a second job of sorts. For anyone who thinks that they don't have time for coupons I say think of it as earning about $25-$50 an hour (depends on how good you are) and then think about it again. :D

I agree completely. There is a learning curve with couponing, but it is well worth it. We should be able to pay off our mortgage in 6-7 years because of it.
