For a gift for my Mom this year for her birthday the girls and I decided to make her wishing stones. So over the course of a couple months we collected rocks just about every place we visited. Then we chose the rocks that we liked the most and got them prepped for decorating. First we used toothbrushes to clean all of the crevices.
Then we used q-tips dipped in alcohol to clean all of the rocks. 
The girls loved the idea of taking something that we collected and worked on for so long. 
We finished the rocks off by using Sharpie Markers and writing messages and words on them. Needless to say she loved it. :D
