Life with Coco and Gigi... and Jack-Jack too!

Life as a Mom, A Homesteader, A Blogger and A Wife.

We survived!

We did it, we did it, we did it, hooray!

The girls have survived their first day of school. I got up early to have snacks and schoolbags packed and coffee in hand.

The day started slow. I got them up extra early so we would not be rushing around.

I made smoothies for breakfast.

Everything was going fine until it was time to get dressed and Grace got upset.

After Abby shared a few tears with her sister she was ready to rock.

Daddy even stayed home to see the girls get off to school.

Once we got to the bus-stop Grace was settling down.

It was incredibly hard for me not to start sobbing at how big they looked all of a sudden.

The big moment...

All in all they did great. The girls journals from the teacher shared that Grace cried the whole ride to school (a whopping three minutes in the bus) but settled down as soon as they got to their classrooms. It sounded like Grace grumped a few times but did fine. It also sounds like Abby LOVES school to an insane degree. Not a single tear at school.

I am so proud!

Yea!!! We had our first day of preschool here and it went well--it is one of the most relieving things to know that your kids won't crumble when you're not there.

About this blog

Over 8 years we have struggled through 3 IUI's, 6 rounds of IVF, several RE's, hundreds of appointments and the loss of three little angels. Now we find ourselves the proud parents of two perfect little girls and a wonderful little boy!!

Both of our girls struggle with some disabilities but that won't keep us down. Each day has it's own brand of insanity but we love it. Most days I am more monkey wrangler than mother but I do the best I can. Todays goal - getting to tomorrow.
