Today we had to put our dog to sleep. We had no idea anything was wrong. He was having trouble peeing. We took him to the vet. Turns out bladder stones had taken over his bladder. Now he is gone. It's so awful.
We have to tell the girls when they get up from nap and I am dreading it. This sucks. :-(

We just had to put our golden, Lucas, to sleep in the fall. He was having trouble breathing and he wasn't eating and we found out that he had lung cancer that had metastasized and had basically eaten his lungs away. Mara still occasionally asks where Lucas is, but kids are remarkably resilient. They'll be sad, but then they'll remember the good times. I'm so sorry for your loss.
