This summer we have been sticking to our homeschool curriculum. We're doing one theme each week and learning some skills as well. The girls have been working on writing their names, identifying letters and early spelling, basic math skills, fine motor tasks, bible studies and plenty of exercise. They love the physical piece so much we have added stretching and exercise (push ups, lunges, squats, sit ups, etc.) each morning. It's been great for all three of us.
We are participating in a reading club through our library. We've done tons of lessons, activities and "field trips". It's been a lot of fun. I thought the girls might get bored of it by this point but they are still going strong.
Our weekly themes have spanned from the beach, music, birthdays and farming and gardening. This week we start our unit on butterflies. Our caterpillars have arrived and we are ready to learn!
We're also spending a couple of hours at the pool each day. Not only do they LOVE swimming but we also get to work on gross motor and social skills.
