Blood Results

I got my callback from my blood work this week. The doc was not thrilled with my numbers. HCG and E2 were ok. I have plateaued my HCG at around 110,000. They like to see them higher but everyone is different. The concerning number is my Progesterone. At this point in a pregnancy the placenta should be taking over the production of Progesterone so you should be around 50-100 and mine is still only 22. Not sure if we are looking at a placenta that just isn't going to flourish (which is a fear with the small size) but it's a wait and see kind of thing.

There was something that kind of freaked me out in her voice (on my voicemail of course) when she said "well, we can't do anything else so keep doing what you're doing and we'll hope for the best". Made me feel a little unsettled. I guess it was naive to think we might have peace for long...

So another wait and see week (until my u/s Wednesday). I also go to the perinatologist on Thursday so hopefully he will have some more insight for me then.
