Life with Coco and Gigi... and Jack-Jack too!

Life as a Mom, A Homesteader, A Blogger and A Wife.

Since we've been home

So far things have gone really, really well. Jack is a great baby and is so cooperative and patient. The girls are doing better than I expected with having a new brother. They have been helpful and patient and so kind with him. They can't get enough of holding him. Thankfully they are also very cool with leaving him alone when I ask them. We have not been without any issues, as one would expect. Grace has still been struggling with going to school (in other words leaving me). Abby has had an even bigger attitude than usual some of the time. But so far I am so proud of how they are doing!

Jack is doing awesome. He is growing and getting more and more alert. His jaundice gets better every day that passes. We have had a few sleepless nights but I am the mother of a newborn. He is a really good sleeper and if you are willing to hold him he barely ever cries. I am a big fan of baby wearing so he and I are a great pair.

Brian was off the first week and worked from home last week so today was his first day back to work. It was so sad to not have him hear. Not just the extra help but it's been so wonderful having him home. Seeing him be a "new Dad" again makes me so happy!

I am doing really well. I still have a lot of pain from the c-section and I was hoping to feel more "myself" by now. I am trying so hard not to push it and Brian is picking up a ton of the slack around here. I am doing fine with the lack of sleep... thankfully I can get by on very little sleep.

So, we're doing good. We definitely have our moments but they are few and far between! :D

Glad to hear it is going so well! Sounds like you are all adjusting well, thankfully.

And I love, love, love his dark hair!

About this blog

Over 8 years we have struggled through 3 IUI's, 6 rounds of IVF, several RE's, hundreds of appointments and the loss of three little angels. Now we find ourselves the proud parents of two perfect little girls and a wonderful little boy!!

Both of our girls struggle with some disabilities but that won't keep us down. Each day has it's own brand of insanity but we love it. Most days I am more monkey wrangler than mother but I do the best I can. Todays goal - getting to tomorrow.
