Backyard plans for 2013

Each year we have decided that our backyard needs revamping. Guess it's the part of us that loves all that yardwork, but we can't help ourselves. Our yard has come a very long way. We've gone from an open plot of nothing but dirt to a nice grassy yard with a privacy and safety fence, raised garden bed, firepit, play area, seating area, etc. Although we love our yard we decided it was time to devote more of it to being outside and having fun. SO in that vain we have big plans for 2013.

I will do my best to chronicle the changes. It's as much for me to look back on as anything but I know I love watching transformations of any variety. I also love proving that with a small yard you can do BIG things!

Project #1: A New (old) Table

You take an old table from your in laws

Get busy with a wire brush and sandpaper

Then you fill a bucket with water and Oxi Clean and get your five year old twins to scrub (they loved it! Wish I remembered to take pics of each step)

Drive to every Lowe's in a 20 mile radius to secure 12 bottles of spray paint (since you had your heart set on this color) 

Find your closest husband and hand him some paint

Then get to sprayin'

Voila... an old table is new again!
