Last week we celebrated Jack's first birthday. It was an unfortunate turn that his birthday fell on the same day as the girls track pictures. Had it not been the pictures for their FIRST organized sport I probably would have skipped it. But we had to plan around it.
Since we had to be out the door at 5:45 it was a VERY early celebration. Thankfully time is lost on most one year olds.
I picked up the girls from school and we went to Chick Fil A for lunch with the cousins. We were supposed to go to the park but the weather wasn't very cooperative. Jack was not super cooperative with his nap schedule so the day was a little nuts. I was fortunate that Brian took a personal day so I had an extra set of hands all day!
There were plenty of presents and playing. Jack was MUCH more enamored with the paper than the presents themselves.
After our trip to Disney, Mickey quickly became Jack's favorite character. In that vain we went with a baby Mickey theme for his party.
I even made Mouse ear cupcakes. :D
All in all he had a great first birthday. He ended up not going to sleep that night until after 11 so I think he might have even had a little too much fun!
