2 Years and Counting

I was planning on posting a whiney rant about how Saturday was our 2 year TTC "anniversary." Fortunately we got away for the weekend so we didn't have to think about it. We never imagined, 2 long years ago, that we would still be childless and have to resort to IVF in order to have kids. Every once in a while it just dawns on me that something that should be so simple and so easy is something that we can never do on our own. If we want more kids, we will always require medical help. It is a pretty sucky deal.

I was also thinking to myself that I should be able to throw myself a "I managed to make it through the past 2 years without killing anyone" party. Every other anniversary comes with cards and flowers. I think that having to survive 2 years of trying to get pregnant should some with some serious perks, presents... large sums of money.... guess not. :>)
