I noticed today, when I gave myself my injection that the brand name of my syringe was Ultra Comfort. I actually laughed out loud when I read this. Do the people that name these products realize how utterly ridiculous it is to name a needle Ultra Comfort. Can the word comfort even be appropriately said in the same sentence as needle, syringe or injection? Seems like a major faux pas. This got me thinking about other such ironies (if irony is the right term for this)...
When my hubby was in the hospital for problems with his tummy he had to have a colonoscopy. In order to do this procedure they need to "clean out the system." To do this, they have you drink about a gallon of icky flavorless liquid which induces a pretty quick cleansing of the digestive system pipes (if you know what I mean). We both thought it excessively ironic that the name of the product that induced the proverbial cleansing was called "Go Lightly." After being there through this experience I can tell you how ironic and inappropriate this name was. What kind of marketing genius comes up with these things??

Bottom line regarding the "ultra comfort" and "Go Lightly"... medical professionals really do have a sense of humor.
LMAO -- too funny! Guess I'm just not creative enough to have a job in marketing, hence why I'm a scientist!
BTW, glad to see you're finding humor in all of this. ;)
Lmao!!
that is funny. I'm yet to find an Ultra comfort needle.
