We live in NJ, so by this point in the winter we are usually donning gloves, scarves and hats. Our average temp for this time of year is in the 30's and 40's. I am not a cold weather person so I am usually suffering for the next couple of months. Yet this year we have had unusually high temps to say the least. The weather has not dipped below the 50's. Today we woke up to beautiful sunny skies with temps in the 70's. As soon as we heard it was going to be so nice we decided to head for the only place to be on a day like this... the beach.
We picked up my parents and my nephews and headed down to Ocean City. We walked on the beach, played socced with the boys and enjoyed the sun. Then we walked on the boardwalk for a while and got some pizza. It was so wonderful to be at the beach, feeling warmed by the sun and all of this in January. I know, I know... global warming, polar ice caps melting, etc. But let me have this one day to just enjoy it.

Glad you had such a good time at the beach. Definitely weird though to be there in January...
