General Update - 28 Weeks

I wanted to write yet another general update on how things are going. I am still waiting to hear back about my 3 hour glucose test. I am so happy to be donw with that hellish experience. I took that test a while back and it was bad, but it was a whole lot worse being pregnant with twins. Keeping food from a pregnant woman for that long is like torture.

My belly has gone from big to HUGE (in case you missed the pics)! I also have developed some pretty nasty stretch marks on my hips. I thought I was special because I made it all the way to 27 weeks with NONE. Then out of nowhere they just started coming. I can see signs of more forming, so I think I am in trouble. I will wear them with pride since they are a sign of what I have accomplished. I just wish they were a little prettier. ;>)

Other fun stuff going on are terrible heartburn, back pains (although they are oddly better than they were last month), lots of discomfort of all the weight in my belly, an itchy belly from the stretching, dizzy spells, plenty of hunger and thirst and I have to pee just about every 15 minutes.

On the positive side both Brian and I are getting so excited for these little girls arrival. I thought that as we got closer we would get more nervous, but instead we are so anxious to meet our girls. It is amazing feeling them kick and move and I will miss them when they are not in my tummy. But we will be so happy to be able to hug and kiss our babies. It is hard to believe how far we have come and how much we have overcome in the past few years but I wouldn't trade any of it for anything.

I bet your back is feeling better b/c the weight has shifted more forward and they're putting less pressure on the spine. Enjoy it for now, as the weight will just get heavier and then the back will rebel again. Loads of fun, eh?? LOL

About this blog

Over 8 years we have struggled through 3 IUI's, 6 rounds of IVF, several RE's, hundreds of appointments and the loss of three little angels. Now we find ourselves the proud parents of two perfect little girls and a wonderful little boy!!

Both of our girls struggle with some disabilities but that won't keep us down. Each day has it's own brand of insanity but we love it. Most days I am more monkey wrangler than mother but I do the best I can. Todays goal - getting to tomorrow.
