Picking up the slack

I just had to reiterate how lucky I am to have a husband like I do. I have gotten a lot more tired in the past couple weeks (and a heck of a lot bigger). It has gotten tough to do just about anything around the house. I try my best, but usually fail miserably. I used to have a nice, clean house with dinner on the table almost every night. Now I sit on my butt when I am not at doc appointments. Instead of doing what most men would do and let the house get dirty while ordering takeout, Brian has totally picked up the slack. He cooks almost every night. He cleans whatever I ask him to do, even when it is silly. He even bends to my OCD whims (things have to be "just so" or I get wigged out). I drop crap on the floor (pregnancy has made me such a clutz) and he picks it up. He does almost all the laundry. He even vacuums weekly. On top of that I get my daily foot rubs and he has even started bringing me milk in the mornings because he worries that my blood sugar is getting too low (in the 60's some mornings). How great is he? :>)

Wish my hubby was like that :)

Sounds like he is a keeper! ;)

Glad that he's such a great help. Better to get him used to it now than just throwing him in the deep end when the girls arrive! LOL

I'm glad too that you're taking it easy. All my harping at you finally sank in, huh?

no matter how hard i tried, I could never get him to bring me milk in the morning or do my vaccuuming.

I truly believe the trials of pregnancy can bring out the best in the men we love. Or worst. Glad to hear it brought out the best in Bry. You deserve it.

About this blog

Over 8 years we have struggled through 3 IUI's, 6 rounds of IVF, several RE's, hundreds of appointments and the loss of three little angels. Now we find ourselves the proud parents of two perfect little girls and a wonderful little boy!!

Both of our girls struggle with some disabilities but that won't keep us down. Each day has it's own brand of insanity but we love it. Most days I am more monkey wrangler than mother but I do the best I can. Todays goal - getting to tomorrow.
