As Abby gets older and older and isn't up on her feet yet it has become clear that she is going to need extra assistance to walk. I'm not sure how much, if anything I have said here about her walker but here goes. I started thinking she might need a walker a while back. I know some other moms with special needs kids and they swear by them. I brought it up with Abby's physical therapist a few weeks back and she completely agreed. (I was a little irritated that I had to bring it up... but that's another story for another day.) We didn't know how we could afford one but Abby's very helpful social worker mentioned a foundation that pays for things like this. She put in a request and BAM it was done. I ordered Abby's walker (seen below) and we waited for the check from The Rainbow Foundation (great people!). It came yesterday so hopefully Abby's walker will be here soon!

All joking aside -- I really hope that the walker helps Abs. I'm not trying to make light of the situation. I'm constantly amazed at the triumphs she's reached. I can guarantee the walker will help to facilitate more successes!
