Our Christmas

We had a very nice Christmas this year. We are lucky enough to spend our days with most of our family. We spend Christmas Eve with Brian's parents. Brian, the girls, the boys and I went to his parents. We opened presents, we had dinner, we had a very nice time. After dinner we took the boys and babies and met my parents, Genna, my brother, my sister Kelli and her husband Jim at church. It was a nice mass although my poor Dad got hurled on by Gracie out in the hall and they couldn't get my attention so they remained in the hall, covered in puke, while Gracie screamed for 15 or 20 minutes. My poor Dad and poor Grace!

After church we went to my parents. We slept there so that all the kids could be together on Christmas morning. I didn't get to bed until 1:30 and Gracie was up and down coughing all night. We woke up early to see if Santa had come and sure enough he came full force. The whole living room was filled with gifts. My grandparents, my sister and brother-in-law came at about 8 to open gifts so the kids had to wait until then. Oddly enough I had to wake my kids to open gifts. The big kids tore into their paper in about two seconds of being given permission and they finished in all of 5 minutes. The girls opened a few and then lost interest (they didn't finish opening until after dinner).

It was a nice, quiet day. We had a very nice dinner and good conversation. No arguing. No disagreeing. Just peace and family the way it was intended. I couldn't ask for a nicer day... well a million dollar check under the Christmas tree might have been nicer. ;D

About this blog

Over 8 years we have struggled through 3 IUI's, 6 rounds of IVF, several RE's, hundreds of appointments and the loss of three little angels. Now we find ourselves the proud parents of two perfect little girls and a wonderful little boy!!

Both of our girls struggle with some disabilities but that won't keep us down. Each day has it's own brand of insanity but we love it. Most days I am more monkey wrangler than mother but I do the best I can. Todays goal - getting to tomorrow.
