Did you hear about this? President Obama just has to ok the bill and the transition will be moved back until June. I was not a huge fan of the switch personally. It won't effect me but it just seems like things are tough enough right now that people shouldn't be worrying about their freaking TV set. That being said it seems like the presidents and Congress have bigger fish to fry than television. Maybe it would have been better to just get it over with since it seems it is an inevitability. If the delay is because people aren't ready for the switch, do you really think they will be more ready in for months? I am guessing no.

They have been talking about this switch for YEARS. I'm at the point now where they either need to just do it already or don't do it. Ever. No matter when the switch happens there will be people not ready.
I agree. It's like that saying, piss or get off the pot. It's vulgar but it says it all. ;D

Seriously. It's not like they announced this last week.
There have been provisions in place to get vouchers for the converter boxes if need be.
It just needs to be implemented and done with. If tv is that important to people, they'll find a way to buy the box if they need to.
Thank God we didn't switch to metric. I have a hard enough time with the existing system some days. :D
Why wait longer? There will always be procrastinators that need a fire lit under them. No reason not to light it now.
Some stations are changing anyway, so these people may well lose some of their local stations.
Sh*t or get off the pot already. If some old codger in Nowhere, Nebraska gets fuzz then he'll figure it out. Truthfully, I'm shocked that any television is free anymore. It's just a matter of time.
