For the most part my job is a good one. I get paid a decent amount to work from home and be with my kids. I LOVE that part of it. I also like that I can be a Mom while still keeping my foot in the working world. However... being an adjunct professor has many down falls.

Take today for instance. I spent about 15 hours prepping for a weekend course. It takes a lot of extra time because they run for about 9 hours each weekend over the course of a month. SO you spend a ton of time to get all of the material in. I did my leg work and the course was set to start tomorrow. I got an e-mail about 15 minutes ago that the course was dropped due to low enrollment.

This means no compensation for those 15 hours. No second course this semester (so I am out that part of my stipend) and it's too late to pick anything else up. Sometimes I hate my job...
