This week has been so much fun. On Monday we went to a working farm and checked out animals and produce and flowers. We each picked a piece of produce to have that day for dinner. Jordan chose a watermelon, Abby chose apples, Grace chose green grapes and I chose an eggplant (and yellow and green zucchini :D). 
We also spent a lot of time in our own garden tending our plants and talking about how they grow. I like that the girls know that food comes from somewhere OTHER than the grocery store. Being informed about where your food comes from helps make better choices (IMO).
We rounded out the week with plenty of coloring, reading and worksheets. We took a trip to a local garden center and looked at the flowers and plants. We took a walk around our neighborhood and checked out all the gardens.
All in all it was a fun week. I think the farm was definitely the hit. If the week wasn't already over I might try to find a dairy farm or something but we must move on.
