Since we have been home things with Jack have been great. He eats like a pro. My milk has come in (yay!). He sleeps really, really well. The girls are in love with him. You can't ask for much more.
Life isn't all sunshine and lollipops. Jack has thrush (from the antibiotics they gave me in the OR) so his poor mouth is yucky. Nursing him is excruciating because of it. While the girls are doing great with Jack being home Grace is still struggling with school. She sobs every time she gets on the bus. I am still in a fair amount of pain from the c-section. I am trying not to do too much but that's easier said than done.
I must say that life with one baby after having twins is so much easier. All of the pitfalls of having two babies at once have made me very prepared to be a Mom of just one baby. Children are definitely easier when not had in pairs. :D
I am exhausted but nothing like five years ago. I am able to shower and check e-mails and eat occasionally. ;D
So all in all... life is pretty good!
